Happy belated Birthday to Koko! missed the actual day of 1st April by a couple of days but truly, having a birthday then instead of the other 364 days of the year XD

truly sorry for the reposts yall, but this fic isn't appearing in the tags for reasons ;-;

"Come on, hop on!" You insisted as you patted the pillion seat of the motorcycle. “Let’s get started already!”

It was the first time Koko swore he had seen you on one, yet you already looked way too comfortable seated in the saddle of the overly-large bike where you had been waiting for him outside his house. Where did you get that? And without him knowing? Did you even have a license?

But those were questions that he decided to keep to himself for now; after all, he didn’t want to be a wet blanket on your very visible excitement. "I don't ride bikes," he mumbled, though the black-haired boy was quick to correct himself. "I mean, in general. Not just when you’re the one driving.” A pause, and silence as the tension churning in his gut. Fuck. The more he spoke, the more he was driving his foot further and further into his mouth. Maybe he should have just stopped at his first sentence.

Despite the day being especially cool, the usually oppressive afternoon sun tucked away behind clouds, though this was one of those days that the Black Dragon delinquent wished it was hot. At least you wouldn't be able to see the nervous sweat beading on his forehead. Fortunately for him, you looked merely confused at his words, cocking your head. “Then how will we get there?”

“Get where?”

“To the park, of course!” Your expression once more burst into smiles as you waved your hand about excitedly. “I have a whole day planned for us! We’re going to play baseball, and then we’ll go for a looonnnggg ride in the countryside before we eat ice cream for dinner!”

Koko couldn’t bite down the grimace growing over his face as you spoke despite his best efforts, the furrow of his eyebrows surely as clear to you as to him. Don’t get him wrong, there certainly was nothing better than spending time with you, but this growing list of his most hated activities - was this what you truly wanted to do? On his birthday? The boy shivered. Playing ball games, riding motorcycles and no food; absolutely not. But how should he play this without hurting your feelings? "Listen," he started carefully, sliding his hand into yours as those slit eyes ever so carefully watched your expression. “How bout we head out to a nice restaurant instead? Your favourite has space, we could take it easy and-”

“Koko!” You rebutted instantly, and his face fell. “I can’t let you treat me, it’s your birthday!”

“But-”

“Nope!”

He sighed, resigning himself to his fate. At the end of the day, he just couldn’t say no to you. “All right then.”

Yet just as he was about to climb onto the motorcycle, you suddenly burst into laughter, shoving the unsuspecting delinquent away before clambering off the bike yourself. “I’m kidding, Koko! April Fool’s!”

The realization hit said boy like a truck, and he let out a loud groan. So it was all a prank. Rolling his eyes, he couldn’t stop the long-suffering grin from pulling at his lips as you threw yourself at him, pulling him into a tight hug and pressing a kiss to his cheek. “The bike?”

“I borrowed it,” you hummed. “Not sure where Inupi got it from though.”

Ah. Inupi.

“So what’s the real plan?”

You pulled out a simply enormous picnic basket from its hiding spot, tucked neatly behind the trunk of a nearby tree. “I got your favourites all here. Let’s find somewhere cool.”

Such an unfortunately timed birthday indeed, Koko mused to himself as you tugged him down the street, leaving the motorcycle parked where it stood outside his house. But all this was worth if he could spend such a special day with you.

It is now the “soon!” I got these done and I still take requests because I love doing that!! Gives me things to consider drawing!!! I love it!

One thing... I know Willow has a new look I just didn’t have the energy to get new references, and I didn’t feel like practicing how to draw that for this.

Tried something new with the internals again! This time not the stomach itself, but adding Luz’s fur around as a border of where the stomach is.

Also have a little treat to go with below a read more! (it’s a short story to go with these drawings C:)

Willow looked up at her dragon-shifting friend, who sat down on the other side of the log she was leaning on. “Have you seen Amity around? She promised to come help me with something and I haven’t seen her yet.” But when she noticed Luz lick her lips with a smile, she had a feeling she knew what was holding her back.

She was proven right immediately by Amity’s voice sounding from inside the dragon’s middle. “Sorry, Willow... Luz didn’t want to let me leave.”

Amity considered if she could make a pun out of this. She wanted to make Luz laugh. “I guess she felt uh... starved for attention?” A rumbly growl-like cackle sounded around her. She smiled to herself.

Willow raised an eyebrow. “Was that a pun?” She would much sooner laugh at the idea than the pun itself. Amity liking puns would definitely be a new thing. “Is Luz’s sense of humor rubbing off on you?”

There was a nervous laugh from Amity. “Uh... In a way maybe? I like to make Luz laugh.”

Luz lifted her paw to pat her stomach, before she let out a set of affectionate whines and murmurs. She smiled over at Willow excitedly.

She shook her head with a smile. “She’s your girlfriend, of course she would want to make you laugh.” Still Luz seemed overjoyed by Amity’s words. “But, Amity, since you’re stuck in there, I’ll just figure the thing out myself.” And if she couldn’t she always had a backup plan. “Or I’ll just spend some time with my dads, I’m sure they would love to.”

Luz tilted her head slightly, pointing back towards Bonesborough.

Willow nodded. “Yeah, I need to get going.” She gave a quick goodbye wave. “See you!” She snickered at her words. “Hopefully both of you next time.”

Hope you enjoyed the little treat! I have a special thing in the works for April Fool’s, and I hope you’ll find that just as much of a treat! It’s definitely much funnier than last years stupid non-prank XD

Holidaytale Slight Expo of Characters

SOOOOOO. No one asked for this, but I'm getting my thoughts out there for the peeps wanting to know. Forgive my grammer if they're there. I'm not so good at it, and I have problem with it.."

And I haven't really explained much of Holidaytale. So I guess here is my expo on it, since I'm always slow on development, take all of this lightly, THINGS MAY CHANGE AND SHIFT! It's just a little bio, I guess.

In Holidaytale each monster is a spirit of a holiday. (The main monsters, are main or well known holidays. While smaller monsters are given random days, ex. National day's.)

Each monster get that holiday by personality, or what was saw fit. And dresses to that day and/or season.  

So here they are:

Frisk, the fallen child, they had become the spirit of birthday. Fell in and and was stripped down to their "Birthday Suit". Luckily to find a wrapped box to wear and cover themselves with. But now must travel through Holidaytale to get out. And the monsters don't take to kindly to NON-holidays.

Flowey, the spirit of Day of the Dead, you meet and his area is covered with shines for the dead. His face stained with the beautiful bright colors and bones on his stem and leaves with a red bow. He has a small Spanish accent and if angry enough he will cuss you out in Spanish.

Toriel, the spirit of Thanksgiving. Her heart is still pure with kindness, she is always thankful for what she has and for everyone she meets. She makes the most delicious Pumpkin Pies with some cinnamon dashed on top and whipped cream.

Sans, or know as Holi, is the spirit of April Fools. He is small, very very small. But don't let those puppy eyes and smolness get to you, he is the prank king of all. His hat produces pie magically, and at random flavors. And if over joy he will burst into confetti, he also sneezes it. He loves to drink Whipped Cream.

Papyrus, or Star, is the spirit of New Year's day. He enjoys a bottle of wine any day. And enjoys experiencing new things, new friendships. He admires Undyne's strength and admiration for every monster's Independents. Hence why he has a set of Roman Candles as a weapon.

Grilby, the spirit of Saint Patrick's Day. He runs the Irish Pub, "Fear an Lasair" (which means The Flame Man in Irish). The jukebox only play Irish music and folk songs, sometimes a live band will play. Fear an Lasair serves more Ireland cuisine (still to be looked into) and of course alcohol.

You will see Star there most night, when he is not watching Holi, drinking more refine alcohol that Grillby keeps for him in the back.

  Muffet, the spirit of Chinese New Years. She speak fluent Chinese, but not much English. She made write English if she need to speak, but she only uses enough english for business. She sells items associated with the day, and even some small chinese snack or finger foods. Her little spider minions are dressed in chinese dragon suits.

Undyne, the spirit Independents Day, is filled with freedom and goodwill. She will always pull monster's freedom and rights before things. She is a free spirit that loves explosions and fireworks. Her spear is make from the fireworks that sparks her soul! She will never turn down lighting them off. She is crazy sometimes and loves to watch historical documents or history movies, or war. But in times of need she will be serious.

Alphys, the spirit of Easter, I... I really haven't put much thought into her personality and such, aside from the norm. I will think more on it when I draw her again. Besides that her lab is made from dirt to form a hut and her floors are grass. She sleeps in a straw nest with colored egg pillows and she watches Hop hop Hoppity Bunny 2, instead of mew mew Kissy cutie 2. Cuz reasons.

Mettaton, the spirit of Valentine's Day. "LOVE IS IN THE AIR, DARLINGS <3 WELCOME TO METTATON'S LOVING LOVE DATING SHOOW! IT'S ABOUT TO GET HOOOT~ <3"

..... I hope that sum up what Mettaton is. XD

He is a Hopeless Romantic, and love those cheesy Romance, he loves to wear roses in his hair and wear fancy attire as if going on a date. Depending on his mood he will wear either gender of clothes. He tends to flirt a lot but he doesn't really notice he does it. He runs a dating show, and loves to ship other together for possible love.

Asgore, the spirit of Christmas. He was a proud soul, using his joys of Christmas spread to all the monster of the underground. He would every year bring everyone a thoughtful gifts, sing carols with them, and treat them to all a nice warm cup of Hot Chocolate. After the war when they were forced to go under and after the death of his son, his joy and spirit started to deplete and the gifts stopped after a while and he would lock himself away. Toriel, his adoring wife, tried her very best to cheer him up. But it didn't work. The cold from the snowflake season of his holiday had hardened his heart and he swore to break out of these cage and return to the surface. His holiday slowly twisted ( Krampus ) and he forgot his old self that brought joy to all. His wife in fear fled the castle. Now he sits in his throne with his holly garden, he waits for the humans to come and kill them.

Chara, the spirit of Halloween, the first child to fall.. They were innocence to begin and became family with Asgore and Toriel, and their son, Asriel. After some time passed they were accepted as family, even through they were a human. ....Until the day. They were playing with Asriel, and a voice heeded her. Taking control of her body and killed Asriel.

Once they were killed, they wander in waiting to control the humans path to kill. All their attempts has been failures so far, but she will continue. Every child she changed her outfit. For the Fallen Child she took on the costume of a witch. But they refused to control the Fallen Child, from them reminding them of Asriel. They just try to influence the child.

Asriel, the TRUE spirit of Birthday, when he was born he became the spirit of Birthday. Though that was not a true holiday. He would try to remember everyone's of the monster's birthday. So he could make gifts for them, just to be like his papa. But after his dead. His birthday became memorial day. Unknown to his parent that he is now the Day of the Dead.

I grew up with DC as a kid, like, my mom watched it so I did too. It’s so interesting seeing someone not used to this nonsense react to it! I think I’m just used to all the filler episodes at this point, it’s just status quo XD. Did you get introduced to DC through a study in scarlette?

Yeah, I started from Study in Scarlette and then went to actually watch the anime (though I did MK1412 first) so I could understand what I had just read. Starting from fanfic is always an experience because let me tell you, what fic thinks is canon is wildly different from actual canon. 

Although DCMK is a special challenge because there So Much canon to wade through. Like, at what point does Conan get two cellphones? I only just confirmed he even has two because the original 130 episodes were obviously from before people had cellphones in general. 

(Most puzzling fanon: Kaitou Kid supposedly pulling pranks on the task force and especially the hair dying thing. What part of canon did they even get that from?? Second most confusing fanon: What Kid actually calls Conan. I swear, I heard him use ‘tantei-kun’ like only once, back in Magic Lovers and only in disguise...? AC says it’s from the movies, but I don’t want to go check)

by Xialdon. It hasn't updated in years, but it explored the idea of Shinichi going to more heists than just the clock tower before being shrunk, and was really well written. It's where I picked up the headcanon about Shinichi enjoying Kid heists but ultimately saying that there are far worse people out there than a thief that returns what he steals and so isn't obsessed with catching Kid when there is murder about.

If it’s the same Criminal Intentions, I literally just read it like two days ago. I definitely recognize the style of fanon going on there (and enjoy it, tbh, I’m still a fangirl), but it’s really interesting how relatively little basis in canon it has. Like, in the entire anime, there’s basically only one instance each where Conan thinks about Kid outside of a heist he’s taken to by others (plus, yes, the april fools thing where he just likes riddles that much) and where Kid directly indicates he likes the excitement of having someone come close to catching him. Otherwise, they’re actually relatively lukewarm toward each other and just happen to cooperate decently because they’re both fundamentally good guys. I like the fic interpretations tho, I admit. 

I’ve only watched the Kid cameo movies, so the only CoAi was in Sunflowers of Inferno iirc, and it was like... tsundere. So tsundere. Their non-shipping interactions are great tho. Haibara is a lowkey fave. She’s just so memorable. 

(Don’t worry, I'm not upset about Ran, I just want to limit my ranting if possible. Like, I’m sure everyone here already knows that I can complain endlessly, once I get started and boy do I have a lot of complaints about shinran.)
